Qatar Airways is set to restore direct flights between Nagpur and Doha later this year, reconnecting central India with one of the Middle East’s busiest international aviation hubs.

The airline will officially resume the service on September 16 after suspending operations on the route earlier this year. The return of the flights is expected to improve international travel options for business travelers, students, and tourists across the region.

Qatar Airways Nagpur Service Returns in September

The restored route will operate five times a week between Nagpur and Doha, offering passengers faster and more convenient connections to destinations across Europe, Africa, North America, and the Gulf region.

According to the announced schedule, flight QR590 will depart Doha at 10:25 a.m. before arriving in Nagpur early the following morning. The return flight, QR591, will leave Nagpur at 4:50 a.m. for Doha.

The resumed service removes the need for many passengers to transit through larger Indian airports such as Mumbai or Delhi.

Qatar Airways Nagpur Flights Improve Connectivity

The route is expected to deliver major benefits for travelers from central India who frequently travel to the Middle East for work, education, or family visits.

Doha’s Hamad International Airport serves as a major global transit hub, allowing passengers to connect to hundreds of international destinations through a single stop.

Industry analysts say the restored flights will significantly reduce travel times while simplifying journeys that previously required multiple domestic and international connections.

Business travelers are also expected to benefit from improved access to commercial centers across the Gulf and Europe.

Rising Airfares Reflect Industry Pressures

Despite the improved convenience, passengers may face higher ticket prices compared to previous years.

Reports indicate that airfare prices on the route have increased due to rising fuel costs and broader pressures affecting the global aviation sector.

Current ticket prices reportedly range between ₹70,200 and ₹82,889, compared to earlier fares that ranged between ₹48,000 and ₹65,000.

Even with the increase, travelers may still save money overall by avoiding separate domestic flights and lengthy airport layovers.

Qatar Airways Expands India Network

The restoration of the Nagpur route reflects Qatar Airways’ broader efforts to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly growing aviation market.

The airline has continued expanding international connectivity across several Indian cities as demand for overseas travel rebounds.

Industry observers believe the renewed Nagpur service could encourage additional route expansions in the future as airlines compete for growing passenger demand between India and the Middle East.

The return of direct connectivity is also expected to support tourism, trade, and regional business ties between India and Qatar.
