Doha, Qatar — The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced the launch of a temporary commercial license service for businesses operating in the Sealine district.
The initiative, revealed on Sunday, is designed to regulate and support seasonal business activities in the Sealine area, particularly during Qatar’s busy tourism and camping season.
According to the ministry, service providers seeking to establish temporary operations can submit applications at any government service center or directly at the MoCI’s main office in Lusail.
Applicants are required to provide specific documentation to complete the process. These include:
- A Civil Defense Certificate (mandatory for motorcycle shops).
- A Rental Agreement Declaration Form, stamped by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
- A signed commitment to comply with all safety and security requirements.
The MoCI emphasized that the new service ensures a framework for safe and organized commercial activity while catering to the seasonal demand in Sealine, one of Qatar’s most popular leisure destinations.
By introducing this temporary commercial license, the ministry aims to balance economic opportunity with regulatory oversight, supporting entrepreneurs while safeguarding public safety.
